Welcome to Rainbow Athletics Amsterdam! Rainbow Athletics Amsterdam is the only LHBTIQ+ athletics club in the Netherlands. If you love running, join us! We boast a diverse and inclusive community of around 60-70 members of all ages. Everyone is welcome here! Our training sessions are held on Wednesday and Friday evenings. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced runner, our sessions are fun, challenging, and designed to improve your fitness, running technique, and performance. You'll benefit from the guidance of our enthusiastic and certified trainers. Rainbow Athletics Amsterdam members participate in the masters athletics competitions as well as various running events both nationally and internationally. Founded in 1998, Rainbow Athletics Amsterdam is a proud member of the Atletiekunie. Until 2021, our club was known as 'Dutch Gay and Lesbian Athletics.' At Rainbow Athletics Amsterdam, everyone matters. Our top priority is moving together. We offer training at both recreational and competitive levels in beautiful locations around Amsterdam. You'll receive a warm, personal welcome with a touch of humor from and for all our members. No matter who you are or where you're from, you're always welcome at Rainbow Athletics Amsterdam. Twice a week, our certified trainers lead invigorating running sessions, catering to short, middle, and long distances. We also organize active walking group sessions. Additionally, Rainbow Athletics Amsterdam hosts inspiring clinics led by top athletes across various disciplines. You can train with personal guidance at any level, improving your running skills, fitness, and speed. Besides our regular training, Rainbow Athletics Amsterdam is actively involved in organizing various runs, including the Pride Run, which is part of the Pride Week celebrations.
